There are TWO categories of Proposal Submissions:

Full Review Proposals: Expedited Review Proposals:
(Administrative Changes to Existing Courses)
FR1: Change to the format of course offering
FR2: New courses
FR3: New curriculum (Requires approval of LOI first. CEP must review/approve the LOI prior to submission of the LOI to UELC for approval.)
FR4: New policies
FR5: Revisions/Updates in curriculum (Significant changes require approval of LOI first. CEP must review/approve the LOI prior to submission of the LOI to UELC for approval.)
FR6: Revisions/Updates in policies
FR7: Revisions/ Updates to Minor Programs (Significant changes require approval of LOI first. CEP must review/approve the LOI prior to submission of the LOI to UELC for approval.)
FR8: Revisions/Updates to Certificate Programs (Significant changes require approval of LOI first. CEP must review/approve the LOI prior to submission of the LOI to UELC for approval.)
ER1: Change in course title
ER2: Change in course number
ER3: Change in credit hours
ER4: Modifications to Pre-reqs/Co-reqs for specific courses
Full Review Proposals are:

  • Posted to Canvas for discussion
  • Posted to the agenda and discussed at the CEP meeting
  • If moved to vote, voted on in Canvas after the meeting

 

Required Documentation:

  • Rationale/justification for proposal
  • Program learning goals
  • Recent or updated course syllabus
  • Assessment plan
  • Completed Master Course List Revision Form (MCLRF)
Expedited Review Proposals are:

  • Posted to Canvas for discussion
  • Posted to the meeting agenda but only discussed in depth if concerns were raised in the Canvas comments that would justify a move to a full review
  • If moved to vote, voted on in Canvas after the meeting

Required Documentation:

  • Rationale/justification for proposal
  • Recent or updated course syllabus
  • Assessment plan
  • Completed Master Course List Revision Form (MCLRF)
ALL proposals, both Full Review and Expedited Review, require the submission of proper documentation.  Failure to include all documentation requested in Qualtrics may delay your proposal until the following cycle.
